JOIN SOAR-(SEED OF ABRAHAM RE-UNITED)

This a call to Unity. The Three Great faiths, Islam, Christianity and Judaism and all of its variants have one thing in common, The Great Father Abraham of Blessed Memory was the Father of all three. I ask you to think back with me to the great days of Sepharad, when members of all three faiths lived together in peaceful unity and prospered, invented, and created one of the greasted cultures in the history of mankind whose scholars and wise men were so brilliant that they in effect defined a new era in human history. I want you to consider all of the violence and strife and warfare and sorrow in the middle East and throughout the world. mudst it go on? I say what harm is there in thinking an dreaming of a simple alternative? Peace. Why not unite and seek peaceful solutions? What has all of the violence accomplished? How many more people must die before everyone comes to realize that hatred is not the answer? As the people of The middle East and North Africa reach towards the gleaming hope of democracy, i want to challenge each and everyone of you to be a seed of hope, a seed of peace a seed of unity in between the three great faith and all of mankind! Dare to SOAR! Dare to dream! Dare to hope! Dare to believe! Dare to unite! Rivers and oceans of blood need not flow! Open the windows of your heart and let a gentle dove fly in with a sprig of the olive tree in it's beek! In this mad and crazy world lets us be peacemakers! Do you know christians? Do you Muslims? Do you know Jews? Please invite them to join this group. Hatred accomplish nothing but to beget more hatred, but in love, in peace and mutual respect all things are possible. The unity that once existed in Sepharad in between the three faiths that arose from Abraham can be restored. Yet where does it begin? It begins with us. Dare to make the dream of peace for all of the seed of father Abraham real! In the name of the creatorI bid you Salam, Shalom, peace, and paz!

THE SACREDNESS OF EACH DAY IN TORAH

Genesis Chapter 1

בְּרֵאשִׁית

Yom Khah´mee´shee..... Fifth day

And God said: 'Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.'
And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creepeth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after its kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.'
כג וַיְהִי-עֶרֶב וַיְהִי-בֹקֶר, יוֹם חֲמִישִׁי. {פ} 23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. {P}

A daily digest of Maimonides' classic work

"Sefer Hamitzvot"

Principle 1
1) Do not count Rabbinic Commandments in this list. E.g. lighting Chanukah candles or reciting the Hallel.

2) Indeed, this seems obvious, for the Talmud says that 613 mitzvot "were given to Moses at Sinai," and rabbinic mitzvot were not instituted until later dates. But in truth, we follow rabbinic rulings because of a biblical mandate: "You shall not divert from the word they tell you, either right or left" (Deuteronomy17:11); and as such, before performing a rabbinic mitzvah, we say a blessing in which we thank G‑d for "sanctifying us with His commandments and commanding us to..." Nevertheless, the individual rabbinic precepts are not counted as part of the 613 (and, are considered "rabbinic," a classification that has certain halachic implications).

Principle 2

1) Do not include laws which are derived from one of the Thirteen Principles of Torah Exegesis.

2) Every word and letter in the Torah is exact, and the Sages extrapolated many laws from an extra (or missing) word or letter, or a particular sequence which the Torah chooses to use (click here for more on this topic). Nevertheless, unless the Sages explicitly say that a particular law that they derived is categorized as biblical, it is not counted as part of the 613.

3) An example of this is the obligation to accord honor to parents-in-law, a precept derived from an extra word ("et") in a verse. Though the Torah alludes to the concept, it is not considered a biblical command.

Principle 3

Do not count mitzvot which are not binding on all generations. E.g. the laws regarding the disassembly of the Tabernacle, or the prohibition against waging war on Amon and Moab, which only applied to the Israelites in the desert.
