Let's Stop The Hypocrisy-We encourage our Kids to Fornicate

I was recently out raged to hear that Jamaican school are contemplating giving childrem condoms. When I was in Junior High School we had a class about drugs. I never forgot it, and never did drugs. I wish they mentioned alcohol too, but God freed me from that. My point is this: if we took time, if we educated them and believed in them little more. True parenting takes time and devotion. The children of parents who value and extol ethical sexual behaviour and teach it to their you don't come home pregnant without husbands, and don't get girls pregnant that they are not married too. Good behavior does not take place in a vacuum. We have to invest time in our children. Giving shelter food, clothing is a small part of parenting. I once spent hours writing a chart of ethical values for my daughter. Then we would discuss what each meant. Thus far it seems that it was time well spent. Me? I'm no angel, but I did try to teach my child good values. If we have become as morally depraved as it seems, then maybe giving them condoms and birth control pills is the answer. But there is the alternative of teaching them ethics, teaching them standards, and teaching them good spiritual values. Giving out condoms is cutting corners. Sodom and Gomorrah began with people cutting corners.
